HEADSHOT & RESUME

A Different Perspective

I’ve always been a little different. I see the world through a creative lens.

My parents instilled a love of movement in me early on, and I feel most grounded when I’m connecting with nature. Teaching yoga was something that came to me really naturally, and since the practice has been available to me throughout my entire life, feels really authentic to who I am.

I’ve always been an adrenaline junkie, participating in sports throughout my life, but I knew it was my calling to teach yoga and lead fitness classes when I experienced teaching a class for the first time on a trip to Israel in 2018. I wasn’t yet certified, but my friends asked me to set up a class in the grass, and lead them through the yoga sequence that I did myself every morning. After the class, I felt so elated to have given them what felt like a gift: a good sweat and some peace of mind. At that moment, I knew that I had to follow through, and shortly after, I enrolled in yoga teacher training.

250+ hours later, I began teaching building a portfolio of private clients and teaching at studios across NYC. When everything changed in early 2020, a good friend and I were laid off from our yoga studio jobs. We knew that we had to use this opportunity to create a safe and consistent space for people to continue their yoga practice. Better yet, we created a virtual space, so that everybody could come to class from the comfort of their homes. This is how Power Move Yoga was born, and how I became a 26-year-old CEO.
